It was here by September 1974 when Chris Morris listed it, using the numbers assigned to it under the old (wide-ranging) "documents" category. The items then were 257, re Bandy at Bury Fen; and 341-345, 349, 380, 431, 435, 453 and 485, all apparently collected by C.G. Tebbutt. 257 may well have been a Tebbutt item as well. They were doubtless given to the Museum at the same time as the Tebbutt skates, whenever that was. In addition to these, there is also the Sorby catalogues and related material given by Lorna Delanoy in 1992. | Note that as well as printed papers the collection includes some significant MSS and a few objects - ribbons etc. Photographs and Whymper's skating sketches, originally in this collection too, have now been moved to the appropriate place. | | SKATING | Various 01 | PP/SKATE/03.01-05 | 1) Amsterdamsche Sport-Club Officieel Programma . . . 8 Januari 1889 . . .
