Huntingdonshire's Heritage
In November 2015 we received a Heritage Lottery Fund Heritage Grant towards our redevelopment project. Our project ‘Huntingdonshire’s Heritage’ aimed to reinvigorate The Norris Museum and all the services it provides, creating an accessible and fascinating environment where the local community and visitors to Huntingdonshire can engage with and enjoy the rich heritage of this area.
The project involved a total reinterpretation of the galleries, allowing us to display significantly more objects than before. The museum reopened in 2017, but the programme of events surrounding the redevelopment project continued through 2019. Since then, we have continued to strengthen our community engagement programmes and strive to continually interpret and reinterpret our Huntingdonshire heritage.
